Beryl is obsessed with Thomas!
Her 3rd birthday is in 3 weeks and we thought that it might be nice to take her here:
and invite 10 of her friends.
but its 2 hours away..so want to make sure it would be worth it??

Yes - it was fantastic
Another option although not Thomas but still trains us wescoe siding at blaxland - lower blue mountains. It's just down the road from where I live and I go there often with my kiddies. Only problem though is its only on 1st Sunday of each month but has real mini steam engine trains with tunnel and bridge that you get to ride plus they do great birthday parties.
But back to OP - luddenham Thomas is also fantastic!!!

There are a few of those mini steam engine/model ride ons around sydney, one in Galston an one near Ryde. We took dd to the luddenham one when she was very little, not s interested in Thomas at the time and more recently the Galston and Ryde ones. I preferred the Galston and Ryde ones, each train is different and they have real little steam engines, diesels and I think some battery operated. You can take a picnic and the Galston one is in a lovely forest like location, they also do a sausage sizzle and canteen for drinks, snacks.

Yes, we've been there. Even went to a birthday party there. It was good- a really enjoyable day. Not sure I'd travel 2hrs for it although I probably would for a birthday as I love doing different and interesting things for their birthdays.
