If you are using lots of fabric softener and it still smells, are you using the correct amount of powder? And is your machine clean? Maybe the filter needs rinsing out? Its amazing how quickly it clogs up...

What does your mum use?
We just use radiant and line dry in the sun, no softener. I love the smell and a few house guests have commented on how nice it smells too

Cold Power and Omo liquid smell the best- if I air dry inside (like on a clothes stand) the smell tends to remain longer and stronger

I think the trick is liquid wash. We have used OMO and Dynamo (front loader) wash recently and both smell nice. good luck

My friend just gave me some clothes and they smell so nice. Not sure what she uses.
I seem to think my clothes never smell nice either, but sometimes you are so used to a smell that you can't actually smell it because you're so used to it.

DH swears that OMO makes the clothes smell like spew. I loved drive but I cannot seem to get it anymore.
I have recently swapped to radiant powder, I use vinegar for fabric softener, then line dry. I think the clothes smell fabulous.

I use washing detergent without perfumes because they irritate my family's skin. My washing smells of fresh air from outside, but not fake perfumes. I prefer it that way. I can often pick what washing powder people use by their smell and find it sort of competes with all their other perfumes from soap, deoderant, shampoos, hair products and aftershaves/perfumes.
