No, qantas won't book them direct anymore (we looked in jan/feb), they will direct you to aus air express to book them, but you can still have them on same flight as they use qantas anyway.
But saying that, I think our quote from aus air express was pretty $$$ way more than $75 per cat.
But if you are getting pup from a breeder, speak to them as they may have arrangements or experience with certain freight companies.

Thank you for all the replies ladies, hired a crate from dogtainers for $50 and booked dog on with australian air express, only $80! Yay for new puppy!!
