Default Gold Coast recommendations - self contained

Anyone stayed somewhere great on the gold coast?

Must be self contained apartment, kid friendly (for 1yr ds) and not stupidly expensive

    TIA.

Nobby's Outlook at Nobby's Beach. Across the road from beach 5 mins walk from local shops, 5 mins drive to Pac Fair. Only thing is they are two storey and have stairs, I always take a safety gate for my little ones. Ask for unit 40 , my parents own it .

We recently stayed at the Meriton Apartments Southport. Beautify brand new apartments, fully self contained with full size kitchens and laundry with washer and dryer. Was not in the busy area and was nice and quiet. It has a nice pool to relax in, and if you ask for the top floor apartment in A block you get some really lovely views. Only catch is you really need a hire car or your own car to get around. There is an australia fair shopping centre within walking distance and some nice restaurants an easy walk away. We did a mix of walking and driving and had a great stay. Was cheap too

If you are into Surfers Paradise, there are lots of things to do in that place. For accommodation, I suggest Circle Skyrise on Cavill Avenue through apartmentstay.com.au.I've stayed there months ago, stunning room not pricey very affordable, a family oriented accommodation, nice place plus friendly staffs.
