    Default Wish me luck!

Tonight I'm trying a few different things to see if DD will sleep in her cot.

Seeing the look of horror when you tell people she sleeps with me is really starting to get to me. I try every night for at least 2 hours to get her in to the cot. By 11pm I give up and just go to bed with her.

Anyway tonight I've got a Love Me Baby Wrap to try. DD hates being swaddled but also wakes up (when not beside me) startling herself. Im hoping this wrap will perform a miracle

The second thing is I've expressed a bottle of milk. Usually I feed DD in my arms. I can wait up to an hour after she's fallen asleep and the second I place her in her cot she's wide awake. Yet in bed beside me I can just feed her and roll to my side and she stays asleep. I'm hoping a bottle in her cot means I don't need to move her.

Third thing is a radio going. She sleeps through all sorts of noises during the day (in the rocker or my arms) so I thought I'd try it in her room at night.

    Here's hoping it works

    Good luck hon!

And as for the looks people give you, ignore them. Keep trying to get her down in her own cot obviously, but when it comes down to it, the most important thing is that you both get some sleep

BTW the expressed milk in a bottle in the cot worked for me, and she doesn't even need it anymore. She goes down for her first sleep of the night with a gentle rock, put down, and a bit of a pat. I do end up co-sleeping with her for the 2nd half of the night still, but I reckon getting them down in their cot for that FIRST sleep is the most important, because one day they will stop waking up. Worked for my first bub
