    I took three bags - a labour bag, a bag for me and a bag for DS. I definitely packed too much! We never opened the labour bag (things happened too quickly) and I only wore about half what I packed, and DS didn't wear much - he spent most of the time in a singlet and then wrapped. I got DH to take things home or bring in anything I needed that I'd forgotten. The one thing I did need more of were pads - you can never have too many. Next time I'll pack a lot lighter - a few pj pants, a few singlets, plenty of undies, two outfits for bub, nappies and toiletries. I'll still pack a labour bag just in case.

    Both times I took a back pack it could have all easily fit into a plastic bag!!
    But I stayed 6 and 4 hours so not really very long, I just took the basics.. Clothes for newbie, two pads, a nappy and some wipes.. I think that's it oh and a change of clothes for myself

    One thing is get your OH to take most of it home the afternoon/night before you go home and just have a change of clothes for you, bub and a packed nappy bag there at hospital so going home the next day is really quick and easy. Make sure he takes flowers and presents the night before too.

    I only had a small bag, and in the boot of the car was all the extra pads, nappies and stuff. I didn't want it cluttering my room up. Dh just retrieved extra supplies as needed.
