The Dukan Diet

Hubby and I did it after I stopped breast feeding last year. I lost 5kgs in 3 weeks, but he lost 8! I thought it was great as I love eating meat and eggs. If you are vego or even love veges, it is not for you. Once the first phase is over it is actually pretty flexible. I bought a great book and we followed it as much as we could (Christmas got in the way!).
I stopped itvwhen trying to conceive again and gained back the weight as I got pregnant immediately. Hubby has kept his off and is looking great!

My boss is doing it and has lost over 12kg.
My MIL has lost 10kg and SIL has lost 8 and is looking really slim. She is almost ready to move onto the third stage.
It seems not too hard to stick to, and everyone seems to feel well and energetic, although I've heard you can get constipated.

Thanks for the replies
I think the thing I will really miss is fruit, if I've read it correctly, not until phase 3

Yes, I did this before my wedding and lost 8 kilos. I found it really easy to follow and very quickly effective. I felt great and will do it again once I finish breastfeeding

How long does the first phase go?
06-04-2012 09:46 #8
From memory, I think it is about 5 days. I have the book and ill dig it out. The second phase goes until you reach the goal weight and the third phase is lifestyle. But I may be confused with bodytrim as the two are very similar. The only real difference is that you are allowed natural yoghurt on D but not on bodytrim. And with bodytrim you can have one cheat day a week but it must be followed by a protein only day.
