Default Husband to start paying child support for his older children and my PPP

Just wanting to know if anyone knows what the deal is with centrelink and what they base as a weekly income if your partner is paying child support for children from a previous relationship. I know they go off weekly earning before tax but when child support is being taken out by the employer does the taxable income that has to be declared to centrelink the same as it would be if child support was being taken out before or do they go on taxable after child support being taken out? So confused......

It's based on gross earnings, but a member here said on another thread that ftb can be paid at a higher rate to compensate. Probably not if you recieve the max anyway.

i believe they deduct the amount of child support paid off your gross income and you get paid based on the lower amount.
