    Default VBAC at St John of God, Berwick?

    Hi all,
    Just wondering if anyone has any experience attempting a vbac at St John of God in Berwick?
    I want to give myself the best chance of a natural birth. Had an emerg c-section at this hospital and had a really positive experience.

    I was considering it last pregnancy and my OB and hospital were really supportive. Only concern is they only have one portable monitor the rest are wired so it's the luck of the draw whether you get a portable

    Thanks your the post. Do they insist on continuous monitoring for a vbac?
    I had one of the non-portable ones last time so couldn't use shower or bath for pain relief.

    I ended up with another c section but the midwife on the tour told me I would need to be monitored the whole time and the bath was out. But if I got the cordless I could shower

    I think I'll try to labour at home as long as possible before heading in. Although my previous c-section was due to fetal distress so I might get worried about that happening again but without me knowing it if I'm at home rather than at the hospital.

    @Kylieandtim.

    I did my research and was advised they don't have a lot of vbac at sjog.
    However some obs are more pro vbac than others.

    Warragul and dande have much more experience with vbac. But are public hospitals.

    I hope that's helpful. I have done a fair bit of research so feel free to pm me with any questions
