I'm in the same position. Ds was a very sick baby and it seems to have scared dh out of more children. All I think about is how much I would love a daughter to go shopping with, to be my best friend. I love my son to death but I do long for a daughter. Hopefully dh will come round.

DS2 is only 7 weeks and I have joked with DH about trying for a girl and the reasons start coming out, I know how you feel but on the age gap my boy are 2.5 years apart ( same as my sister and I) I love this gap DS1 is so loving with his little brother but that's just me.

Could your DH be worried about another baby with heart problems? Best advise I can think of is maybe wait a few more months? Let him see everything is ok with you and your boys
Hope the two of you can work something out *hugs*

He isn't exactly denying you, he just isn't ready right now and has agreed to go for another in 3 or so years time. I think his reasoning sounds fair enough and I think you should respect his feelings on this matter.
It doesn't mean it doesn't suck
