I had my 37 week scan yesterday and the estimated weight for my dd is 6lb 10oz. I know she will have a growth spurt soon but would love to have a rough idea how much she will weigh at birth. My ds was 8lb 6oz at birth. I can't imagine this one will pack on that much in the next 3 or so weeks!

I had a scan at 38 weeks with DD and they told me she would definately be over 8lb. Would be lucky if she was under 9lbs.
As my mum got told the same thing when she was pregnant with me, I was not worried. I was born 5lb 15oz.
My DD was born on her EDD at 6lb 7oz...

Apparently they put on about 200g a week in the last few weeks, so if you were to go to 41 weeks (for example), that's an extra 800g right there (no idea how many ounces that is, I use kilograms and grams).

Sizing scans we're spot on for me. At 32 weeks they told me DS was 6lb 2oz and then at 38 weeks he was 8lb 6oz. He was born at 39w2d and was spot on 9lb.

Thanks for the replies.
They only scanned as I am trying for a vbac so they needed to check a few things. The weight was more for my curiosity as I saw it on the screen and asked and I was a bit concerned that she wasn't chubby as I haven't been feeling like eating- though she looks pudgy enough. I was also happy to see that she doesn't have an unusually large head!
