I'm public service which technically doesn't have a dress code and plenty have tattoos most of the men wear business shirts but you can still see them! I have a small one on my back and more to come. Although I have chosen to never get feet or neck as it may hurt my promotion chances but I am getting one in my forearm and upper thigh. So only the forearm one will show and my old manager had one of those so I'm not expecting repercussions

If I had 2 suitable candidates for a job with the same qualifications and abilities I have to say I would choose the person with no tattoos.

totally agree with you Allymumtobe!!
no longer do tattoos represent a rebel or gang member they are so common these days and personally I love them! I got my hubby into tattoos he got his first at 26 where as I got my first at 16! hubby now has two full sleeves and they are hot! hahaha I too have half a sleeve and 7 other tattoos around my body including down one side of my back, neither me nor my hubby have ever had issues with work and our tattoos, i think i carry mine quite well without looking rough and they are still fairly coverable if required although I prefer to show them off the only time i ever had an issue with something similar in the workplace was when I was working in retail and my manager wanted me to remove my lip peircing even though our shop did body pericing in store!
I now work for a very big mining company which is fairly corporate and ive never had any issues with my pericings or tattoos
