Officially I get $25 week & DH nothing. Drives me nuts how self controlled he is. When he wants something he just puts it on his Xmas & birthday list then waits. His bday & Xmas are 20 days apart so it's a looong wait. He only buys lunch once a week & not every week. I spend my allowance on my hobbies scrapbooking, sewing and cake decorating. I also use my $ to buy naughty things like gossip mags, chocolate or KFC! I have to force DH to go out with mates & bros etc so I don't feel so guilty when I blow my budget at Spotlight!

Mine is around $100 that covers horses sport clothes and outings . I have a separate account for holidays an Jan sales love my sales. I'm not strict with this sometimes it's more lots of times less really depends what I'm saving for and if dd needs / wants something extra.

I guess I should update, we've give ourselves $100 a week each and agreed we have $100 to spend on the kids each week but this doesn't cover their clothes (but ours does). Thanks for the replies everyone

Dont have an allowance but DH works part time and he gets to spend his money however he likes and I receive money from Centrelink which I spend however I like but as long as I put DDs needs first. The rest is up to me and I usually just save it. However Im sure things will change once we move out of my MILs...

we have about $50 a week each, and usually go out for lunch as well.
I only have a cafe coffee maybe twice a week, and dont buy magazines/chocolate/cola (but will have lunch out sometimes)

DH and I have separate accounts because his is tied up in his own business. He gets about 20 per week but that's all he wants and needs. I budget about 50 per week for myself and dd. This is plenty for us as I don't normally buy coffee out and make my own at home and usually take food with me. Any extra money left in my bank account goes toward paying off our debts and backyard renovations. I used to have lots more to spend and I just wasted it now I am so much more disciplined and I budget and I'm a lot happier for it

We don't get an allowance anymore but we spend $60 a week on redbull alone
then me and DD will go out for lunch about twice a week. Also go to the zoo or museum once a week. Then there is playgroup and play centre every week.
If any of us need new clothes or something we budget it in too.

Zero ATM lol. Trying to save as much as possible before the baby comes, all we are spending on is petrol and less than $50/ week on groceries.

We have $500 per fortnight as spending money to share between the both of us. We usually spend it on meals out, petrol, excursions etc. I wish we had more but I am a sahm so we are living on one wage.

I don't usually have an allowance just whatever is left over after paying bills which can be anywhere from $50-$200 a fortnight. It's usually around the $100 a fortnight which is plenty for me and dd
