Default can you change due date?

hiii, ive heard alot about doctors stopping labour and im jsut wondering if theyy only do this if you go into labour too early or if they can do it to prolong your pregnancy? i dont want to sound stupid by saying this but im trying to say if you want your baby to be born on a certain date, like a week later or so?

Baby will come when s/he is ready. Doctors can try stop labour if you go into premature labour, but if you are at a healthy gestation they wont stop you giving birth because you don't want to have baby on X day. Some babies come early, some come late and some come smack bang on their due date, though if their is a reason you don't wont to have baby on your duedate, it's only a small % of babies that actually do come on their duedate.

No... If a mother goes into labour prematurely then there is a chance that they can stop the labour using drugs, thought it isn't always successful.

If you were considered term (37+ weeks) they wouldn't try to stop
Labour. I would be very doubtful they'd try to stop it a bit earlier than that either.

If you were wanting to "schedule" when your baby is born, then the method would be to bring ob labour through induction (or have a c-section) rather than to stop a labour.
