Wow, just read this whole thread. I hope you are & the police have helped you. I agree with the pp no matter how far you need to travel I would be going straight to the docs office in person. Good luck & please let us know how you are!

I don't have any experience with docs but that sounds strange.
To me it sounds like they don't want her around so that they can rough you up.
Sorry to sound dramatic but that sounds scary.
If the cops or a 'real' docs officer can't be present when they visit I wouldnt stay home.
I hope all is ok. Take care and all the best.

Wow how scary for you! This was actually one of my biggest fears once upon a time when I had "friends" threatening to call Docs on us because we were refusing to involve ourselves in something dodgy they were doing.
For your sake OP I went onto FB and traced down a friend of mine who works in child services and just asked if she thought this was strange behaviour. Her reply was 'alarm bells' that a lot of things just aren't adding up.
I don't know where you're located but if they turn up tomorrow (was it tomorrow they said they'd be back?) or whenever, you should call Docs or child services for your state and ask if they've sent anyone out, because they are at your door apparently. Also call the police and say what you've learnt, how there is no file and they are demanding all types of things.
If I were you, I'd keep them at the door talking until police arrived but I wouldn't let them in. Sounds incredibly sketchy, from someone trying to scare you to suggestions its criminals casing your place for robbing or worse.
I hope things turn out okay and its just some idiot putting other idiots up to this and the police can sort it out.

I've worked in the CP field for several years, and reading your posts, this is NOT how DoCS workers behave. Number 1, they always have Photo ID on a strap around their neck. Second yelling and going crazy at you... that's not how workers are trained and that would be subject to disciplinary process.
I would say about 90% they are not DoCS workers, and if they are, complain!

Call the police! I'd ask the police to be there when they come back. Could it be a scam for your ex to take your daughter? I dot mean to scare you but that's what it seemed like to me.

You rang DOCS and they had no file on you?
In that case, the people who came to your home are most certainly NOT DOCS!
They also wouldn't abuse or yell, just accuse it being faeces on a plate, or comment on two toilet rolls on the ground! Their biggest concern is that children aren't being abused or neglected and toilet rolls on the floor is not a sign of either. A worker from DOCS should also definitely not be saying things like "this is filth".
They also should have had ID around their necks. A business card would have government/DOCS logos, their names PRINTED on the card, and contact details. I had DOCS come to my house one day, they presented me with I.D, asked if they could come in and then told me what accusations had been made (by law they must) and we had a very informal interview. They didn't search anything or make comments etc.
Get onto the police, get onto your brothers school, do not let DD away from you, get onto a lawyer and DO NOT LET THOSE PEOPLE BACK IN. You are being scammed by the psycho ex. Do not trust! Take immediate action. Please.

If and when they come back I'd suggest doing what a PP has said, lock the house up and speak to them through the fly screen door, then get someone in the house to call the police without the "DoCs" workers knowing. Then they can explain to the police what they are doing and the police will be able to confirm or deny it all....
If you tell them you are calling the police they might run away.
