I'm really sorry if this is in the wrong place - still learning!
My husband had testicular cancer and various lymph nodes removed 10 years ago (just had our ten year check up - All clear! Yay )
During one of his operations he had an RPLND which rendered him unable to conceive naturally - meaning we are heading down the IVF road.
I have been reading the forums and can't really find anybody posting anything similar to us.
I'm looking for friends to chat to who are in a similar situation.
We are based in regional Queensland and will be travelling to Brisbane for our IVF and are planning to begin in August with Dr Watson.
These boards are full of so much useful information which has really helped but I would love to hear from you, even if you would just like to chat

My husband had Testicular Cancer in 2010, he hasn't had an RPLND as it spread further then his abdomen (in remission).
I do believe there is a technique to retrieve sperm from the bladder?
I'm so happy your husband is ok and the 10 year mark must be such a relief! Well done, it's a tough journey to take.
I'm in Melbourne and currently involved in our first icsi cycle, our egg pickup is on Saturday. Not long to wait now, it's doing my head in. It's such a waiting game....
Good luck on your journey

My husband also had TC a few years ago. It seems his was due to a condition he had as a child - undescended testes. So we won't know if his low count is due to the cancer or the condition. We do know that the chemotherapy didn't make much of a difference as his count was the same before and after.
We hope to be starting our first ICSI cycle in May. They only need 1 sperm... So fingers crosses they find it. Good luck on your journey
