Default Late period but negative pregnancy tests

My husband and I are newly married and we have been trying for 4 months. This month I am late. I'm usually 35 days and this is the 40th day. I have done 4 pregnancy tests at home, all were negative. I went to the doctor this morning and she was sceptical but took a blood test. I'm really afraid that the blood test will be negative too. But if it is then where is my period? I really want to be pregnant. Can anyone relate?

We were trying for almost 2yrs so I understand how you feel. Drs are always skeptical - meanies!

It can take a little while to get a pos hpt though, so 4 days late don't give up hope that its still too early to show up.

Good luck with your bloods, at least you will know either way. Will you get the results today or tomorrow.

You made me feel much better I wont get the test results till Friday so I think I will just have to be patient.

well good luck, hope AF stays away until then. BTW - i reckon first response early response (the mid****** ones in the pink packet) are the most reliable if you have the urge to pee on a stick again.

I didn't come up positive on a first response test until the first day of my period. Fingers crossed yours is just taking a little longer to show x
