My DH and I are currently trying TTC baby no 2. I have pcos and used provera and clomid to conceive our now 12 month old after coming off the pill and not getting a period for 5 months in 2010. The clomid worked first time.
So now, having been off the pill this time for 2 months and still no period my GP has booked me in to the same specialist in 1 month (3 months from coming off pill).
Im just wondering if anyone knows what they usually do second time round...i'm hoping she will just do the same as last time without the need to wait 5-6 months???????
also if anyone can tell me how long it took to conceive baby number 2 for them with pcos and previous clomid use

PCOS, using Clomid for 2nd baby???

Hello, dont know if u still check this thread as its couple weeks old but thought id reply to it any way.
I have PCOS & have 2 wonderful children both using clomid. We are currently trying for #3 & went back to our gyno yesterday to start it all over again . with #2 when we went back to gyno as i too hadnt had my period for 3-4 months he put me straight on provera then started my on clomid at the lowest does (1 tablet a day for 5 days). So hopefully ur gyno will do the same for u as she will already know ur history.
When we saw mour gyno yesterday it was the same deal...have to take provera for 10days then call them on day 1 of bleeding then take clomid for 5 days but this timehe told me to take 2 tablets a day as with #1 it took only 1 tablet a day to make me ovulate but with #2 it took 3 a day.
When we tried for #2 it took us around 10months all up to get preg but around 6mths once starting clomid. With #1 it took us about 20months all up but that included the 9-10mths of having to wait to see if anything happend itself as it was our 1st but once on clomid it was about the same 10mths or so.
Hope this helps u answer some questions but every1 is different.

Thanks heaps for your response. I'm really hoping she does the same for me although getting nervous now that even with assistance it might take ages. Maybe we were really lucky last time for clomid to work first time
