Default Am I the only loser who...

... over analyses kids cartoons?! Like, how can a town full of animals, ie Peppa Pig, have pets? They're all animals!! Why can some talk and others not?!

And Gaspard & Lisa - they are dogs, living (and talking) amongst humans. AND there are other normal looking dogs too that bark (not talk) - WTF?!

And why is Fireman Sam called for EVERY little problem in town?!

    ... Am I alone here? :-P

And don't even get me started on why bananas can breathe, walk, talk and wear pyjamas...

    - In the movie Cars, who built all the buildings?

    - If tank engines can talk and think for themselves, why do they need drivers, guards etc. (I get the need for firemen I guess?)

    - Little Einsteins- why are those 4 the only children ever? Everything else is what should be inanimate objects that communicate through music and art... how can they understand THAT? And even accepting that they CAN understand that- they own a ROCKET SHIP? Why do they have to walk THROUGH the scary forest? Why do they have to glide down the rapid river and careen down the big waterfall? IT'S A ROCKET SHIP! FLY!
    - And still on LE... I accept that the conductor has special magical powers... I like that June dances.. but the musical instrument guy.. c'mon.. he's, what? All of 8 years old? And knows how to play EVERY SINGLE MUSICAL INSTRUMENT IN THE WORLD? (And he always has them handy? "Oh let me pull out my sitar I just happened to have on me!" "This calls for some Double Bass music, lucky it was in my back pocket!"

    - And Annie- who's special talent is singing.. is the worst singer of the 4.. literally could break glass... Who oversaw that casting?!?

I totally accept, however, that Phines and Ferb are child geniuses who can build a whole roller coaster in one day, or a building that reaches the moon, or a giant haunted house complete with floating baby head because well.. they're awesome

I don't think about kids stuff like that because I just assume anything can happen in kids shows Buuuut I over-analyse grown-up movies! I hate when things don't add up in films or when they make mistakes.

Jasper wanted to watch ice age on repeat all day the other week and I was too pregnant to care. JUST from Ice age :

    * how does shoving an acorn into a ice mountain cause the whole mountain to crack and then move?

    * different species talking to each other.

    * the 'ice age is coming' ummm ice ages happen a lot slower!

    * how can a tiny baby survive a fall off a water fall with absolutely no injuries or shock from the cold, and despite not being able to swim, but his mummy doesn't survive the impact.

    * they carry this baby around without feeding it, changing its wet clothes, in extreme cold - how does it survive again?!?

    * how can a river of larva suddenly appear under a sheet of ice and yet the ice itself still has the structural integrity (and remarkably looks like a bridge!) to hold up a wooly mammoth!!???!!!

    * Also how come the moment there's danger from larva the sky goes dark and red, though it's not a volcanic eruption... It just *appears*.

    Ice age...

Nemo went down the dentist sink. The bag popped on the dentist tools.

Haha, glad to see in not alone! I suppose this starts to happen when we lose an element of magic in our lives!

I was watching the Johnny Depp version of Alice in Wonderland last weekend - when Alice shrinks, her dress didn't shrink but when she grew, her dress grew too O_o

    So much LOL!!

I'm the same with all DD's shows.

•Jake and the Never Land Pirates: the girl uses her fairy dust to fly to collect an item that their pet bird was carrying moments earlier...save the fairy dust and get the flying bird to get it.

•Mickey Mouse: they often need a mousketool to get over or around objects that are blocking their path, but they could quite easily just walk around it on the grass...

Oh I had more but have forgotten-just putting DD to sleep.
Was talking about this very thing with my brother last night.

Love the ice age and little Einsteins ones.
