The rebuttal. There are always two sides to a story. There don't seem to be too many balanced or informed opinions on this thread.

There are usually more than two sides to the story and the answers from IC are not necessarily balanced or informed.

Agreed, I don't accept many of their justifications.

    Publicity stunt?

    Was it really him?

    True mental breakdown?

    ..oh the drama

He was just trying to free his invisable children...

Sorry I guess that sounded rude, it wasn't meant to. The point being that most posters on this thread are forming very strong opinions after having read one sided arguments and maybe a couple of news articles or nothing at all. I just thought I would post something from the other side. I don't care what anyone's opinion is btw. I wasn't commenting on what I thought of the IC argument (when referring to balanced and informed opinions) obviously their opinion is biased therefore clearly not balanced, it's only one side of the story!..... and that takes us back to my point.

No worries, it occurred to me that my response also probably sounded rude. Also not my intention so I do apologise.

I have found myself quite 'full on' when discussing this topic because it annoys me so much. My field of study covers this sort of thing so I am bothered by youthful idealism which fails to apply critical thought to the ideas produced by this campaign and the campaigns failure to consider the short and long term ramifications of any and/or all actions.

I have been guilty of this sort of idealism before and have had some experience with the NGO world before which has left me completely jaded of the realities of any type of campaign.

I donated $150 and regret I did now. Feel like I've been scammed, especially after investigating more and the leader being arrested. Boo hoo, once bitten twice shy
