id consider anything that was necessary for my girls health or normal participation in regular activities.
DD1 had grommets at 2 and went from monthly ear infections to not a single sinus infection since.
DD2 hasnt had anything yet, we were lucky that the hole in her heart that she was born with repaired itself by her 1st birthday so escaped the need for surgery.

I am very anti-RIC, but was faced with the suggestion that DS1 should be circ'd for medical reasons when he was 7months old. We thought about it for a while before we made the decision to get it done. It was the best thing we ever did for him and his kidneys,as he hasn't had a UTI since the procedure. I still feel awful some days that we had him done and that it was not his choice to make later in life, but I'd rather he was healthy and not in kidney failure, than have a foreskin.
