As often as I feel like now that I have free dental! *chuckle*. I've had so many things fixed in the last few months, a filling, wisdom teeth removed, chipped teeth smoothed and filed, scale and cleans... Heaps of things.
That being said, they're all things that have been needed to be done for AGES. I haven't had anything done to my teeth since I was in primary school and we had the dental vans coming around regularly because my sister had a serious overbite that had to be corrected and it was very expensive.
End result, my teeth suffered for it as they weren't as bad as hers heh. So now everything major-ish that needed work has been fixed and I'll probably go back every 6-12 months for a check up and clean .

I went for the first time in my life last year, as I had a toothache.
No problems with my little toothy pegs, so no need to go back IMO.
It was pretty funny though. The dentist goes; "So you're 25 and you've never seen a dentist? Oh great. Well we will have to schedule you back in for some work next week, cause you'll need a fair bit done."
Me: "Ok, no problems" *opens mouth for dentist to do her thing*
Dentist: "Holy crap, your teeth are so healthy and clean! Are you sure you've never been to the dentist?"
After the appointment (no doubt when she realized she wasn't making any more only out of me) she goes; "you know, you need jaw surgery. Your jaw is really bad, and is causing you so many problems."
Um, no it isn't. It's been this way for 25 years ... Pretty sure it's ok. Surgery and/or braces would be for cosmetic reasons only, and I'm not interested.
Wow, who knew I felt so passionately about this? Rant over

Not since the dental van when I was in high school... lol.
I don't bother. Whenever I see a dentist they say the same thing: "Your teeth are fine - remember to floss." Given it costs a fortune to see one, I'd rather not pay for that.
