    Nicole: check out www.theivfclub.com/ivf-colorado-protocol/

If you google IVF Colorado protocol you'll get heaps of info on it. It is designed to improve the lining of the uterus to help with implantation and generally used where one has already had multiple failures. You'll find most fertility specialists in Australia do not support the Colorado protocol, they say lack of evidence to support it. But it's very common in the US where they are more aggressive with IVF treatment.

    Good luck.

Lannie: Gosh 3 cycles since Dec is quite intense, that would really take alot out of ya! I'm dreading the thought of another full stimulation cycle. I'm abit upset this evening, had some bleeding and wondering if my period is now going to come and I won't even make it till BT on Monday. Praying for a miracle and that it's implantation bleeding but suppose what will be will be. I cannot change it. Will speak to the clinic tomorrow. Well at least we do have 1 frozen blastocyst to try again. This is no easy journey that's for sure. Let's pray we all get our miracle babies soon )

I used the Colorado protocol for my last 2 cycles, the first one of which I didn't get any eggs so stopped everything at EPU & the 2nd cycle gave us our DS. There are many variations of the protocol and it is a bit laborious but not too bad and I'm convinced it gave us the edge re: implantation. My FS was of the opinion that it might not work but it won't hurt either. Our successful cycle, DH didn't take antibiotics but we still DTD the night before transfer. And because I had no eggs in the previous cycle, I stopped taking the aspirin 3 days before EPU and then started again the day after. This was because there is evidence that aspirin may interfere with the final stages of egg maturation & release from the wall of the follicle. Aspirin early in the cycle helps by encouraging penetration of the drugs however it can adversely affect lining thickness so for me stopping it only around EPU made sense & I had no problem with my lining that cycle.

After being on DHEA for 6 months I finally produced a mature egg & got an embryo for transfer. The embryo was perfect but did not implant so I insisted that we try everything possible to give any further embryos the best chance for implantation. The second 2 embryos also looked perfect and with the Colorado protocol they both implanted. Not a controlled trial, especially when N=1, but I'm definitely a convert!!

There are no guarantees with IVF unfortunately, especially with this protocol. But if you are getting good embryos that won't implant, or are a very poor responder like me, then it's worth a shot. I don't think any FS can refuse if you insist.

    Best wishes

Well I caved in and did a home preg test this evening at 7dp5dt and it's a strong positive! I am cautiously excited for Mondays blood test. Hopefully it's not a false positive, I had 2 HCG trigger injections exactly 14 days ago and would think they are out of my system by now??? I hope so!

Hi Lannie, this is my 4th fresh cycle and about the 7th transfer in total. Will be my first ever BFP if I do get it on Monday. I'm very hopeful. Did another 2 different home preg tests this evening and again both positive. Really hoping this is it. But scared there's a chance it's still the HCG trigger shots I had 15 days ago now. You'd think it would be out of my system by 15 days, who knows! Monday we will know. But it's looking good

9dp5dt and still showing positive on two different home preg tests I did this morning. Woww I can't believe this could really be it!! Trigger shots were 16 days ago now, surely out of my system? One would think so. Gosh dying for Monday to come already. I hope it won't be a disappointment.
