hey girls, I'm beat so the update will be quick. u/s yesterday found the baby in my left tube, I was rushed to hospital and today was given metha-something or other to dissolve the pg Just got home. Thankful I avoided surgery as the gestation was small enough.

It's chemotherapy drug so I have to flush the loo twice for 3 days and can't ttc for 3 months. Feeling numb but I'm ok

Sorry to hear this delirium. Glad you will avoid surgery and tube damage I guess. I can only offer my best wishes for the coming weeks and physical and emotional healing over the next months. Will you now have a miscarriage experience?

I asked this and no I shouldn't. Get a bit of bleeding but I'm already bleeding and have been for 2 weeks. Bc it dissolves it there shouldn't be any clots or pain.

I'm feeling horribly guilty that I've killed my baby I know there was no doubt it had to be done and not doing it could well have killed me. But given my own stance for my own body, I feel absolutely terrible

and I should add I have to have blood tests every few days to see my counts go down

Sorry re prev post - was a child.

I can imagine the extra kicker re feeling you are playing an active role towards hastening the end for the little speck of life. I guess there is not anything you can do but talk to your bub and tell it how sorry you are that you are going through this together . life is very cruel sometimes

yeah I patted my tummy told them how much I loved them and how sorry I was.

and no there was zero choice. Without getting into the debate too much, I identify with women that have to make this choice bc there's something really wrong with the baby. The anguish, the feeling of there being no choice.

Think I might have a hot shower and crawl into bed now, didn't sleep much last night

Del, I was so worried that ectopic may have been the diagnosis when we didn't hear from you last night. I know I have no words that could make you feel any better at this stage, I'm so sorry you're going through this. Do make sure they also do a follow up ultrasound in a week or two as well as the bloods as I have read (actual medical article - not forum heresay) about very rare cases where levels dop but ectopic continuing. I'm devastated for you, for your loss and for facing another 3 months minimum before you will get your sticky baby. I know it's little consolation, but thankfully it has been picked up early and you are physically ok.
