I've had 2tranfers with monash now and they were great. The full bladder isn't too bad really, no worse than the 7 week scan that you also need a full bladder for. You can also go to toilet straight after the procedure and they're also great with the timing of the procedure so you're not waiting for ages with a full bladder. I'm from bendigo and I did my 2nd transfer in melb and also got a pic of my embryo

    Hi ladies,

A little update from me. All going well so far, I'm 5wks 5 days pregnant tomorrow. My last HCG was 1255 which was perfect. Next bloodwork to check levels is on the 11 April and my scan will be in the 7th week on the 16 April. We're praying to hear that previous little heartbeat (or two) at the scan. Counting down 11 days till my scan. It seems to always be a never ending wait for something. I'm still super bloated, find it hard to eat much so eat little bits at a time. I look 4 mths pregnant because of the bloating and was told it will continue for the first trimester due to the hormones. I'm still getting very sore cramps every day but my FS said its normal but it still worries me. The boobs are sore and I get waves of nausea throughout the day but it's not too bad at the moment. Best wishes to all for a happy and safe Easter !

An update from me ladies - after 6 weeks pregnant I miscarried last night in hospital - I can't stop crying... Our dream finally came true & now we have lost it, I woke up almost feeling like it was just a bad dream... I'm in pain, I'm sick, I'm angry, I'm hurt & I don't understand what we did that was so bad to the world to have this taken away from us.... I'm not coping - I'm devastated , lifes just so unfair when will we get a break? I really thought we were through the worst..... Now all I feel is empty & alone

Martcc: Oh I am so sorry to hear that, you poor thing, I so wish you did not have to go through that! Big hugs! What happened? Was it ectopic? I don't think any words will make you feel better at the moment but we're thinking of you and wish there was some way to take your pain away. It is so terribly unfair. Take care of yourself, don't give up hope, stay strong! Hugs

I feel for you, this was me two weeks before Xmas. It does get slightly better, I still get upset about our loss. But the one thing you need to know is it's NOTHING you've done. It wasn't meant to be.

i see this went post went up in 2011. still feel it's relevant to answer as people may read this thread when searching for info...

my partner and i found melbourne IVF terrible to deal with and would highly recommend going to monash IVF as an alternative. much more professional and provided much better practices, information and actually cared!

Do yourself a favour and avoid MIVF. I have heard good things about Monash but unfortunately MIVF are so consumed with the business of making money they have lost sight of the main goal and whilst my Doctor was genuine and helpful most of my dealings were with an admin lady who was either purposefully obtuse or a little bit dim (I still haven't figured out which) the whole experience was so disheartening that my partner and did not go ahead with it. They have also advised that the 3500 we paid will not be refunded (that's 3.5k to freeze my partners sperm) one generous donation
