Default PETA = Freedom fighters or Terrorists

What do people think about the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals?

I feel I should add that I don't agree with live export though.

I haven't really given them too much thought. But we're never going to support them- we decided to prioritise our giving to charities that support people living in poverty in less developed countries

I think they give vegetarians/vegans a bad name
As a vegetarian and a feminist I've been pretty surprised and disappointed by some of the approaches they've taken (Feministing has a lot of articles if you want to read up on this)

I think sometimes though you need over the top groups though like this one so at least they do draw attention to their cause ( which is ethical treatment of animals) even though the way they go about it is sometimes extreme

Using out-dated misogynistic marketing to promote animal rights does not appeal to me.
