    Maddison - 2 ds

I'd choose that simply because it's the spelling I've seen most commonly (as a teacher - not in books etc), and therefore it seems less likely that she'd have to specify spelling.

    Default Madison or Maddison?

The traditional spelling is Madison. New York City spells it Madison.

Defiantly Madison. It's my middle name and I love it spelt that way.

Had this talk with DH for months. I wanted 2 he wanted 1. I started to like the 1D selling better in the end. So our LO is Madison. Wouldn't have it any other way now.

It does seem that 2 D is higher up in popularity when you look into on the Internet and baby namer apps.

Really she is going to be asked one or 2 D no matter which one you pick.

    Default Madison or Maddison?

My niece is madisyn, just to be different. But I would spell it Madison. I have a common name and don't believe the alternatives are very popular, but still have to spell my name ALL the time. I think she'll have to anyway due to so many people using alternatives, so spell it how you want

That spelling is cringe worthy - it baffles me why people murder a perfectly normal spelled name just to be 'different'
