    Sorry AB.
He wasn't with you nearly as long as he should've been, but I'm sure you have many happy memories of him.
I hope your heart heals soon.

    So sorry for your loss

We had to put our beloved dog down only 10 days before DS was born, such an awful experience at a time when we were supposed to be excited. It's been 6mths now and I still miss her everyday.

i know how you feel AB. I had to put my shepherd down 9 days ago. It sucks big time but as my vet said to me I am putting her to sleep at the right time as he sees alot of people thinking about themselves and not whats best for the animal and keeping them alive far too long in pain and discomfort.

My beautiful DH buried her in the backyard and I bought a magnolia tree and planted it next to her and that has helped me with my 3yo DD who doesn't understand death. I tell her that is K's tree and if she misses k to go and talk to the tree. Some might think its tacky or overboard as she was only an animal but i don't care. It works for me.

    Aw. Poor little kitty.

It's so hard to lose a pet. Which I guess is a direct reflection of the joy they bring to our lives. We are so blessed to have the time we have with them, even if it is only brief.
