I can count on probably one hand the number of times Ive ovulated naturally over the past 20 years... Clomid really worked for me. Had no side effects from it that I can recall either. I think it took 4 or 5 cycles for me to get a positive preg test in the end, although I had good follies for at least 3 of those cycles we obviously just didn't time things right in the bedroom dept until the cycle when we did lol!

Honestly, Just start taking Clomid, you've nothing to lose and everything to gain. If it doesn't work after a few cycles then you can move onto something else. Nothing ventured nothing gained! Good luck

@Louloops also recommend joining the PCOS forum called soulcysters, it's mainly American but some international women too. Lots of advice and emotional support on there x

    Default Severe pcos

Hey Hun, I've got the worst level of pcos any of my fertility specialists have seen. AMH 197.7, between 110-150 follicles per cycle, insulin resistant, no natural ovulation, clomid resistant, letrozole I only o'd twice at the very max and length dose along with trigger, no pgs. But all is not lost, I'm doing IVF now and heading for my first collection this Monday. It hasn't been an easy ride, because of the risks I had to do a whole six weeks of injecting to test the meds out on me, and at the end my hormones went insane and I went from 2 mature to over 20 within 48 hours and had a canceled cycle. This cycle I've been stimming for 17 days and I'll have to do a freeze all, used the spray trigger since my risk oh OHSS is far to high.
While it all sounds terrifying this is still good, high AMH does mean doctors will treat you very delicately and it will take more time than most to reach a point of pregnancy but you have plenty off potential eggs to work with. As of my scan on Friday I had 26 mature follicles out of my current 150, I have an insane amount sitting at 1cm which could decide to mature or be stubborn which is common for pcos.

I was worried about all of these things too so thought I'd share my experience which is so far so good!

I had my first ever IVF appt 20 days ago where I found out I had high amh (I think 150). I got AF on the way to the appt so that was cd1, very whirlwind!

At my first scan, they confirmed pcos. At my second scan they didn't even bother counting my follies, just wrote 20++ ha! My epu was two days ago and they collected 18 eggs, 16 were usable. I have had 11 fertilise and am doing a freeze all (my clinic only does FET anyway).

I'm going through a bulk bill clinic so they didn't tailor my treatment. I was on 150iu puregon and worried about ohss for sure but they assured me I wouldn't get it. My trigger shot was lucrin which I believe helps reduce the risk. I have been keeping up the fluids and protein and no sign of ohss!

so good to find this thread. When I saw my AMH result, initially was like oh wow I must have plenty of eggs left, but then I realized that it is isnt normal at all (134.6). I did some google search but usually people complain it's high when it's like 13 and I have above 100. I havent seen my doctor yet. I am 35, I was on the pill last 15 years or so and only stopped in January. I havent got period ever since.. It looks to me like I may have PCOS but I had ultrasound before and everything looked normal, I am slim, eat healthy. My progesteron level is very low (0.2). I dont really know what to do and what to think about this extremely high AMH and no periods/ovulation.

Hi efkah, if you're 35 and been trying for 6 months (ie off pill since Jan) i would recommend you get a referral to a fertility specialist asap. You can still have pcos if you are slim and eat well unfortunately. I wouldn't delay! They can do the appropriate investigations, try and induce a period and go from there.
