Thankyou Scarlet. Its just nice to hear someone else's opinion. I go over and over it in my head so much it gets all muddled, sometimes I need an outsider just to say how it is and give some black and white options. No sugar coating, just how it is. I think I probably will just go for it with what I've got, but tomorrow will tell. Having said that though, I read on Melbourne IVF website that 70% of natural and IVF created emryo's have a cromozone that mean the embryo will never stick and develop into a baby. I was wondering, instead of forking out the money to have an embie that has no chance of sticking, maybe its best to make sure I have one that has the potential to stick. Oh no, here I go again, there seems to be so many options.... Tomorrow will tell. thanks again and good luck to you, all sounds promising. I'll cross my fingers and toes for you

MySweetBoy, I get what you are saying and I understand your predicament. Is your dh open to the use of donated sperm? This could be an option, you could do another cycle and then unfreeze your embryos, grow them with the donated sperm embryos and then test, that way you only have to test once and you could have the possibility to put yours back in first.

Yes there is a high chance of IVF and natural chromosome problems, but it isn't 70%, it is more likely 50% and then it depends on where your embryos get to what stage etc...

My 4th cycle I only got 1 to testing out of 6, but in my second got 3 out of 4, so it does vary cycle to cycle.

If you do give up on the PGD idea, then don't think your embryos are pretty much going to be abnormal, they must of got to a reasonable stage to freeze and this increases your chances a lot.

2 FET's will cost a lot less than an IVF and PGD cycle...

If you did do PGD, I would try the Gender Selection route and you could do something like PCR, which will test generally for X, Y and 21 chromosome, so not a full test but they can give test results back same day and then you won't have to refreeze.

Either way, good luck! It is hard but worth it in the end.

Anyway, I have GOOD news for this thread I got my definate BFP on a digital today, I have been having VERY light FRER ones since 5dp transfer. But todays was darker and the clearblue told me so. So very cautious at the moment, as when I had my chemical I too got early BFP's but still had the chemcial, but so far so good.

Scarlet- AWESOME!!!! Fingers crossed I hope this is it! Good luck

Tiger- I think your right, I'm trying to be optimistic!

AFM- I'm a glass half full kind of person, but right now, I feel sick. I'm in the car waiting to go in for my appointment and reading my info package. What is the chance of one of my two embies being able to pass the ASD, gender test and to see if the embie has the potential to become a baby? Well, here's hoping I'm going to go down the right path.

    Hello everyone!

    Hi everyone

Sorry I haven't posted for a while. I've been reading but not posting. I've been struggling with knowing my due date for my little girl was coming up (yesterday) so haven't been well engaged with BubHub recently. Although I'm embryo banking it's taking an extremely long time At this rate, there'll be no CGH testing until the end of the year and realistically that will be it for stim cycles with my eggs. Hopefully, they'll find a normal embryo in there that will hopefully stick. If not, I've put my name on the donor embryo list just in case.
Just wanted to wish everyone the very best of luck. I hope the baby gods are smiling on each and everyone of you. Thank you for the support and encouragement you've given me.

    Wish
    x

PS Congratulations Scarlet - you legend. Please be a sticky one

Sweetboy - hope your appt went well and you got some clarity.

Wish - I'm sorry about your recent EDD. Those days are so hard.

AFM - first scan this morning. 12 follies, 7 which look promising. I am day 6 today. Waiting to hear from the clinic as to when the next scan will be.

I was on asprin this time. Last time, my chemical was weird. My hcg started at 20, then went to 80, then 145. I thought a lot about it and I think my progesterone had a lot to do with it. I was on progesterone, but I had bleeding and one of my tests my prog was only 20? Then this time I had to be on 4x more progesterone and my level is only 40. So it isn't that this time.

It may be time for immune testing for me. The problem is my RE is quite against it and is a non believer. So kind of hard to get it done.
