My name is Caila and like many wonderful women around the country I am looking to support and learn from pregnant women in Adelaide for my Bachelor of Midwifery studies.
I am now a second year student and have met some wonderful women and learnt many things from beautiful births in 2011 through this forum - and I hope to repeat these amazing experiences in 2012!
Having a student involves letting me attend at least 2 of your antenatal appointments or birthing classes, the labour (if you are comfortable with that) and at least one postnatal visit. Essentially, this is providing a continuity of care and extra support. I really don't mind if you're a month away from birthing or 6 months - I need a wide-range of stages and stories to gain experience from.
It is a really interesting and exciting time for me as I'm eager to learn as much as you're willing to share with me with as much interaction as you're comfortable with - this is your experience, I'm just asking for you to share it with someone who is excited and passionate about your journey!
