If you can, give her a sancutary that is only hers when you let her into the rest of the house. Put a baby gate across the door to a chosen room so that the dog cannot enter but the cat can. She needs to feel safe before she can assert her place in the family. My cat will put any dog in its place but only once she feels that the environment belongs to her. Lucky for my baby she has a run of the house since my ratbag dogs are outside dogs but a room should be enough to get her started.

Unfortunately things haven't gotten any better (not for lack of trying) and the stress isn't fair on Bella or our dog Sookie.
Tomorrow I have someone coming to meet Bella and possibly give her a new home where she will be the only pet and have no kids to annoy her either.

I'm so sad it didnt work out
