Bella - I cant understand Bob's thinking coz if you think of what happens in a natural menstrual cycle when the egg is release, the follicle collapses and becomes a corpus luteum that produces progesterone to sustain/support a pregnancy. During egg collection of an IVF cycle, a lot of the progesterone producing cells are 'inadvertently' removed when taking the egg from the follicle. Also, the drugs used to suppress the natural LH surge, also suppresses the production of progesterone after egg collection. At CFC a mid-luteal blood test is ALWAYS done approx. 5 days after the transfer of a 3 day embryo or approx. 3 days after the transfer of a 5 day embryo. Clinics may differ, however, CFC preferred Progesterone to be >55 (and Estrogen to be >2000)...my mid-luteal Prog during my last FET was 54.5 (so close), but they still increased my daily progesterone pessaries. Bella, I also have 6 x 400mg pessaries and 6 x combined progesterone (500mg)/estrogen (2mg) pessaries left over (they are still in date too - they run out at the end of April)...you are most welcome to them - I wont be using them and CFC dont accept any leftovers anymore. I think you have my mobile...if not, just PM me. Hopefully you wont need to go to Wazza, but if you do, I would definately address this with him.
