Default What do you think - does it rhyme too much?

Saige with a last name that sounds like faze?

Please be honest its the only name DH and I both like but I'm not sure because of our last name. Oh and the middle name will be Charlotte or Marie.

It does rhyme lots. Maybe you could hyphenate with middle name instead. We have a Piper-Jean.
Then people say whole hyphenated name with surname and you can shorten on a day to day basis?

    Good luck choosing.

I think it rhymes too much...but I personally don't like when names rhyme - other people don't care. If you don't think it's a problem then go ahead

I wouldn't use it. I think it rhymes too much. But if you guys don't mind then go for it.

Sometimes rhyming names sound really cool. And there are a few famous people whose surnames rhyme exactly with their given names:
    Jack Black.
Cheri Oteri (comedienne from Saturday Night Live)
    Fay Wray.
    Shaquille O'Neal.

If you like it, go with it. If people find it unusual then they'll just get used to it. Saige is an awesome name (our DD's middle name is Sage) and it would be a shame to pass on a name you both love.

Thanks ladies, I love all of your honest responses. Whenever I ask friends/family they say "oh we like it" but them I picture them going home and saying "what the???".

I think the hyphen sounds like a good idea maybe Saige-Marie and skip the whole middle name all together. Its kind of in the family too as my name is hypenated with marie so I guess its a little bit traditional.

I don't think I would care if someone elses name rhymed, it wouldn't bother me, I wouldn't think much of it but its just when it comes to choosing names yourself you think of these things. Kind of like when you say to yourself what a beautiful name (but I wouldn't use it).

So what do you think Saige-Marie or Saige with a middle name (we like Charlotte)

I just think marie flows with the name better :-)
