Definitely depends if she prefers red or white, sweet or dry, ahh so many options when it comes to wine haha. Also, as others have said, $30 will get you a good bottle! I class it as my cheap drunk drink, $10 bottle and I am gone haha.

You could also look at making them a little nibbles hamper for their trip, some nice cheeses, crackers and chocolates would be lovely for them to eat upon arrival, or even on their way and would set you back about the same price

    Just an idea.

Lol I wouldn't call $30 a cheap bottle of wine.

But yeah brown brothers make a good wine.

I wouldn't drink most of the wines mentioned in this thread

Moscato, zibbobo, dolcetto etc are all popular but they are revoltingly sweet...they remind me of passion pop.

I prefer a crisp, dry Sauvignon blanc for whites and for reds I like a dry Shiraz (syrah) or a nice deep merlot. My favourite red though is a Sangiovese.

I can suggest some great labels for the above if she is into them

Just read your second post. A cheese platter might be hard if they are travelling an hour or two away...maybe a nice box of chocolates
