    Default Cheap but nice wine

So the lovely person who drops me home each day after coarse is going away this weekend with her hubby. I believe we will remain friends too as we get along so well and we are doing our placement together.

I want to get her a bottle of wine as a thank you and also for her to have a nice weekend away with hubby.

I can spend up to about $30 on a bottle.

What would you choose. I know she likes wine but unsure of which sort and i dont drink it so have no idea what is good out there.

does she drink white or red?

white i would go with an unwooded chardonnay, red a cabernet merlot.
    try to buy australian.....

those two varieties are the most frequently consumed.

Reds.... Wirra Wirra church block or something like henschke Henry's seven.
If white... A Sauvignon semillion blanc or even a bottle of bubbly. Grant burge do a nice one that's about $30 ish.
I'm sure it's the thought that counts anyway!!! So don't worry too much.

$30 will get you a damn good bottle of wine. What climate do you live in? How old is your friend? You can get nice champagne (sparkling white) for that price (warm party climate) or a good Cabernet Sauvignon (cooler climate). Ask at your bottle shop for the best they have for your budget.

If you can get it where you are, any Forrest Hill wines are great

I'm also loving Grant Burge Pinot noir Chardonnay at the moment too.

My friend is old enough to be my mum yet young enough to party with me lol. I will ask her many questions tomorrow about what she likes. We love in brissy and she is heading to sunny coast.
