    After reading this thread, I decided to give it a go..I had a ring off a solo bottle lid. Declined. I'll try again in 4 years with a burger ring. 😁

    We never really HAD a proposal... Pretty much from the 2 month mark of our relationship, we'd been talking about getting married, and it was 'official' boxing day that year, after he 'asked' my dad for permission.

    I believe it went "so, may I..." "Sure". Lol, DH was so stressed for no reason. But yeah, we never really had a proposal as such, it just... Happened.

    Proposals are over rated anyway, my ex went to so much trouble of flying us to Perth staying in a swanky hotel booking me into a day spa, getting us VIP cold play tickets and then taking us to the place where we first kissed and getting down on one knee. Romantic yeah, but in all seriousness, a little OTT. I wouldn't really mind if Dp waits a few years than just buys a nice ring. Who knows I might even do it four years today
