Pregnant me: ignore that idiot boyfriend of yours, he'll come round. Sleep more. Stay home and rest. No peth during the birth.

New mum: ignore that idiot bunch of friends your boyfriend has. He's not going anywhere. Sleep more.

Pregnant me: exercise & stop eating so much. You will regret the resulting PE & emergency csar & still feel grief over not having the natural birth you would now kill for. Seriously, cheeseburgers just aren't worth it. Oh, and you'll thank your post baby body for it.

New mum me: C'est la vie. What's done is done. How about spending the time on "what ifs" with your new son instead.

Me as a new mum: Don't be ashamed to seek help for Post Natal Depression! (mine lasted for 5 years and didn't ask for help -a major regret of mine)
