Well they don't really stop wriggling, but flats and prefolds certainly get easier to put on with a little practice. They're really not much harder than any other nappy, provided u pre-fold everything like Maximum said. Once u figure out how to hold the nappy in one hand without it unfolding all over the place, it's pretty easy =)

U will certainly get ur money's worth out of some good quality bamboo flats! Keep ur eye out for a sale!

Any particular brand? Are prefolds better? I'm thinking you'd get the same effect by folding?

Lol. He gets up so quick once the nappies off and heads for the door.

I prefer flats to pre folds they are more versatile, you can fold them any which way... Bumboo are fantastic flats and their covers are great too they are the perfect size

I prefer flats too, as they fit from birth to potty training whereas prefolds won't unless u snappi them from birth and pad fold them in a cover (or use as an insert in a pocket nappy) when they can't be snappi'd anymore. I do have some prefolds as well but if I had to choose between flats and prefolds I'd choose flats. They just dry so much faster, and it's easier to get them clean as there are no sewn in layers.
