    Default Leg Cramps

    Has anybody else had problems with leg cramps at night during their pregnancy?? What has worked for you in preventing them?? Thanks

    I've had them on & off all pregnancy.
    Adding salt to your diet is apparently supposed to help, but it didn't work for me....!

    Ughhhhhh I am having them, they are pure hell!!!
    My calf was aching for about 3 days after my last cramp.
    I stretch before bed and move carefully in bed, no quick movements! This may be helping or could be coincidence!

    I also suffer from restless legs and some cramping in my calves...I am now taking 400mg of magnesium a day. I also do leg stretches before going to sleep which really makes a difference to me.

    Leg cramping/restless legs are common in pregnancy. Get yourself some Calcium and Magnesium supplements, it should help

    I had this a lot with my first pregnancy a part for what the others have suggested the best thing I found was as soon as it starts point your toes back towards your shine as far as you can and hold unroll it passes. It really worked for me.
