I've decided to branch out and try fondant. I've only ever piped before but my first attempt turned out better than I expected. This was for fil's 70th on the weekend

I'm so not a cake maker, I can't do fancy frosting or fondant but I'm gonna add 2 cakes I've made in here.

I made this one for DD's 4th birthday, so simple but still looked pretty.

And this one was for DH, choc mud sandwiched together with Nutella, with Nutella buttercream frosting.

Now I'm on the lookout for an equally simple but cute one for DD's 5th birthday!

Wish I was talented as all of you, I'm currently looking around like crazy for a teddy bear cake to make for DS's 1st birthday that even I can't stuff up. Lol. Wish me luck and when it's done I will post in here.

Get a teddy bear shaped tin, they usually hire them at decorating shops :-)
