My ferret eats Extrusion atm. It's the first ferret food i've stumbled across that she actually seems to like.
My rabbit eats the Rabbit and guinea pig mix i buy from the pet shop as well as fresh vegies.

27-02-2012 06:36 #34What's it like having a ferret as a pet? Apparently they keep snakes away so have been contemplating adding to our zoo
She's really playful but also sleeps alot. They are like cats in that respect, they can sleep up to 20 hours a day.
What other pets do you have? Ferrets will attack rabbits and the likes. Our poor rabbit has been attacked.
If you are going to get one i recommend getting one from the ferret society in your state or somewhere that saves and rehomes. They will only sell you one thats suitable to be around children plus they come vaccinated and desexed.

We have a 6 yr old staffie with skin allergies. He has supercoat lite n mature biscuits and 4 Legs chicken, pasta & vegie balls. We throw in fish oil tablets too. Occasionally he'll also have Tinned tuna and we'll crack an egg in there. He is a little bit special

I have 2 shar-pei dogs, and they are both on Black Hawk dry dog food. They get a full raw chicken wing for entre, and share a large tin of tuna once a week to keep their skin lovely. Shar-pei can't process large quanties of protein, so dry food is kept to the lowest protein levels available. I show my girl and a lot of other show people use Black Hawk foods too, they're a lot cheaper than other brands as they're made here in Melbourne and sold by local retailers in our area. I love it, and so do the dogs.
