    @onedaymaybebaby a question if I may
    so all up IVF cost you $800? And that was with primary ....
    or do you have to do up from cost then wait for it back ?
    Do they do natural cycles where they take egg as per natural ovulation or does it all have to be medicated ?
    Another beautiful photo !

    It sure did @Felicia! There's no outrageous upfront payment then wait for rebates from Medicare. You just pay at each step! I.e medication at pickup, day stay when you get to the hospital on the morning of the procedure! It's great! I'm not sure if they do natural cycles but perhaps give them a call! Some girls struggled cos they felt like a number but I wasn't there to make friends with the staff (although ours were all lovely!) I was there to make a baby haha! If you're ok with no airs and graces then I'd urge you to call and have a chat with them and see if they can do natural cycles?

    @onedaymaybebaby
    thanks Hun I'm just sooooo shocked!!!!!
    I think that's the only way I could do it natural cycle as I'm allergic even to the pill so couldn't have injections ect -maybe worth a call to ask about natural cycle and I know Sh would only agree to natural cycle .
    Thanjyou fot posting about this -I was maybe meant to here it ! Sh has active SA so hopefully just a sample will do the trick can't ask anymore for him for surgery as he had already been a trooper with VR

    I really hope they can do a natural cycle for you! Fingers crossed! Let me know how you get on! Yep DF has live sperm, they just weren't swimming so they picked the best ones and went straight to ICSI!

    @Plj77 that is great news! Seriously, given your ages, and the fact that you've both already had children (i.e you know it's possible) I think ICSI is probably the best option for you - less time spent waiting. From what others have said maybe a cheaper IVF clinic is the way to go. All the best!

    That's wonderful @felicity! Is that with Primary or another clinic? At least you know you've explored all avenues then

    So excited.. my ultrasound for my female issues is monday, was going to postpone as i got my periods but i really want it done so at least i can start my investigations.

    On the other side we got a call from dr woolcott in newcastle about a reversal. He gave me higher chances of success via reversal. As long as i am all good. He said from memory 80%+ successful reversal, 40% pregnancy rate. He thinks ivf isnt worth trying first as would take quite a few rounds and damage the vas from retrieval making a reversal less successful if we required one. He doesnt do retrieval at the time of surgery he said the surgery becomes much more complicated and can damage the vas making the success rate much lower. He said reversal is worth doing first.

    Im pretty confident with what he was saying, matches what ive read. The time off work will be a issue thou. Dr said 2 weeks after asking him what he did. However paperwork said no strenuous activities for 3-4 weeks so i queried it. Was told get a medical certificate after surgery for 10 days hence the 2 weeks, everyone heals differently so would depend but recommended take it easy for 3-4 weeks.

    Sounds to me like 4 weeks off is what is needed, wished they would just say as if we took just 2 weeks off then we would have issues financially as well as with his employer. He is in a heavy lifting job.

    He said they can do the reversal as early as july!! Totally blown away. Latest date in decmeber is the 11th. So the date is going to be an issue. He gets 2-3 weeks off over xmas, 11th would be 2 weeks before they shut down, very busy period for work but would give him enough time to recover.

    And i am looking at seeing a fertility specialist within his clinic regarding myself. After the ultrasound ill grab a referal. Hubby doesn't want to book in till i get checked first. Worried about paying for it and me having something wrong.

    Just wished my ultrasound was later in my cycle, as the one done late showed issues but the one done in the beginning of my cycle showed nothing. Would like it to be accurate. But i guess i need it asap
