    @ange1111
hihugs to you on your jounrey , it's a tough one and this October we have been patiently waiting for 4 yrs trying naturally since vascetomy reversal with dr leich
we just had a check up and ultrasound with him-he also advised 2nd reversal
we won't be going ahead with it
we have found a man in red hill called Peter Kingston - he is completely alternate using only accuptunture and Chinese herbs
I have learnt so much from him and he's so knowledgable in male reproduction and worked with couples before following VR
he order DH a bunch of blood tests to make sure he is actually still producing immature sperm
( what is DH count ?) if you want to share
we have gone from 25 mil post vr
    15mil 2yrs post VR
5 mil 3.5 yrs post VR
with also low mobility and morphology
he explained it that the trauma from the vascetomy then the reversal /scar tissue is what makes it hard for sperm to come through - just like it would our tubes blocked
we are 5 weeks in with treatment with him and DH is on a bucket of herbs and teas to boost his count and I feel quietly confident
he also treats women if that is what is going on with egg quality etc if DH has a great sperm count this might be an option
    best of luck
i am 30 and dh32 so we have time on our side to play in the natural field abit longer
we also have our DS 9 so we are blessed already which is why we aren't going in IVF jounrey

like @StillHopeful @onedaymaybebaby are very honest and clear in there answers
I feel like I was given false hope there was no way I was going to get pregnant naturally with any of this numbers and morphology and I've tryed naturally for this long
    it's a heart breaking
i I would put my 10k towards IVF or natural therapies
@StillHopeful congrats Hun what great news about your birth xxx xx

ps my cousin just had VR done 1 yr ago and same out come - I'm wondering if this VR does work at all .....

    Hi ladies,

Did ICSI through Tas IVF in 2013. My husband has CBAVD - natures vasectomy so we had no way of trying reversal.

Dr Bill Watkins is amazing and is a lot more affordable than other IVF companies. I used to work for a specialist that was a director and doctor of one of the main Victorian IVF clinics.

Can't recommend Bill or his team more highly.

Was a great way to holiday and relax while going through the stress of OPU's, testicular biopsy and ET's.

Didn't do a full cycle this time but am currently 11 weeks.

Wishing you all the luck with your decisions and treatments.

Felicia great to hear from you and that you are back TTC, even though it is heartbreaking at times (most of the time!) giving up is harder than to keep going. I truly hope you find success soon, you all so deserve it xoxo

Thank you for your words of congratulations, he has made every heartache worth while and knowing he is my last baby, I'm just breathing in every moment.

    We welcomed him on May 21st at 18:17 - 7pound 4 ounces of perfection💙

Hi ladies, just popping in to see how the vas reversal community is doing?

We welcomed our beautiful boy into the world 30/1/17 (11 weeks old tomorrow ), vas reversal didn't work for us although it was a 'technical success'. We can thank ivf/ICSI for our bundle of joy!

Good luck to those who are still trying, it's an emotional journey that's for sure!

@onedaymaybebaby a very huge congratulations -what a very gorgeous easter gift you have ! Enjoy every moment
asfm -no luck yet and have excepted the fact that VR wasn't successful and no more babies for us -5 yrs since VR just coming up
our DS is turning 10 yrs in 3 months so I think it's time to move on
I think I got my hopes up far to much withVR or it's marketed as something it's not unfortunately
no IVF for us -think the chapter has to close

    Thank you @Felicia

Aaaagh I'm sorry you didn't have success! It's such an emotionally draining process! yes it's really hard not to get your hopes up isn't it! They certainly like to talk it up! Certainly luck of the draw!

Hope your son has a great 10th birthday, double digits woohoo

@StillHopeful and @onedaymaybebaby congratulations on the beautiful babes! It's been a while since I have been on this thread, but I agree with what everyone has said - VR is sold to be way more successful than it actually is and I think the amount of false hope created by surgeons is just downright cruel. We were lucky we worked with a fertility clinic when we had our reversal and they gave me a full work-up with a FS before my husband had the reversal, that way I had the referral to a FS and IVF clinic in place when the VR failed.

It was sad the lack of follow up and service we received after the VR - we had to be proactive about getting SA's done and when it was clear it had not worked, the VR doctor just kind of disappeared into the background. It was up to us to seek IVF.

The good news is we have been able to welcome two little monkeys through the same round of ICSI, DD from fresh cycle in 2013 and our littlest one DS who was frozen for 3.5 years before joining us in November 2016.

I highly recommend others pursue the ICSI road after one year of trying post-VR esp for ladies over 35 - every year you wait after then your chances of conception fall by 10%. If there are no existing female fertility issues and your partner has already fathered children, your chances of conceiving with ICSI are fairly good bc it's just a mechanical issue, the eggs and sperm are usually of fairly good quality (or at least their genetic contents are - in the case of post VR sperm). There are also now "bulk billed" IVF clinics springing up all over the place so it's becoming more and more affordable.

All the best to all you wonderful hopeful and courageous women on each of your journeys. This is such a hard road to travel and your strength is amazing.
