Default Heinz Nurture (original, not gold) and Karicare gold Aptamil

I was using the Karicare up until 2 days ago but found my DS is pain when he fed (squirming a lot and not burbing that well) he was drinking approx 50 - 100ml of this. Now I have changed to the Heinz (not gold) and am finding that is only drinking 40-60ml! The calories on the tins and protein types are pretty much the same. I find that he burps better on the Heinz and is in less pain.
I am just not sure why he is drinking less?

Does anyone else recommend the Heinz, does your baby seem more hungry than when on other formulas?

I'm subscribing cause I'd love to hear from other mums on this topic

My DS was on Aptamil from about two weeks old as that is what they gave him at the hospital so we just went along with it, but he had terrible wind and constipation.
We recently changed to the Heinz Nurture Gold and we noticed an improvement within days. His #2's are much looser, even verging on runny, nowadays and he's no longer screaming to do them - however he's gone back to 3 hourly feeds instead of the 4-5 hours previously. I've done a bit of research and from what I can see, the Heinz is a bit thinner and the Aptamil is a thicker formula which keeps them fuller for longer. Not sure if this would have any impact on your LO's intake...?

    Ah maybe?
I just spoke to Heinz and she said the original formula is more for babies who are also being Breastfed or were breastfeed for awhile first. She said the GOLD would be better in terms of nutrients.
I might buy the Heinz gold tonight and see if that makes a difference (I will try to stay away from the Karicare as my DS had the bad wind too!)

Hi, well it's been over 3 months since then and I ended up putting DS on karicare aptamil HA. It seems it was a mixture of his reflux and digestive system adjusting that caused the problems. HA is a little easier to digest and Dh and I have Allergies.
