Default Need some inspiration for my daughters 2nd birthday party

    Ladies,

I need some inspiration in planning my daughters 2nd birthday party.

I don't want to have her party at home because i want to enjoy the day without worrying about cleaning up & i also want somewhere more kid friendly.

Her birthday is in the beginning of June.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

    Thanks

When my eldest daughter turned two we were living in a very cold city and her birthday was in winter, so we hired the local playgroup house for a bargain (much less that it would have cost for an indoor play centre party etc) we had a kitchen, so heating up food was easy, were able to make the adults cups of tea/coffee etc, heaps of the playgroup toys, both indoor and outdoor and plenty of chairs and tables for the guests.

The only thing we had to do was wash and put away the dishes we used, mop and vacuum the floors and put the chairs/tables away. Without asking, most of the guests helped out with that anyway.

For DS' second birthday in November we had a toddler cooking party at a local kids cooking school. We had 6 of his friends, plus 13 adults (parents, grandparents and my brother and sister).

The kids decorated chef's hats. Then they made cheese puffs. Went to feed the chickens while the cheese puffs cooked, then the kids made fruit kebabs and decorated cupcakes.

The party went for an hour and a half. It was fabulous, the kids had a great time, made lots of mess, ate heaps and then we got to leave. Completely no stress. Could easily be done for a girl as well as a boy.
