    Default Pregnancy diet help needed

Hi all, I'm sure I'm worrying about nothing but just wanted some advice. I'm in my 5th week and just reviewing my diet and hoping I haven't made any mistakes that would be harmful to bubs.

I usually make a salad at home for lunch that is a tossed salad with a tin of tuna that I take to work. I eat this everyday. Would this type of salad be a listeria risk as it is preprepared. Or is it ok as it is made by me?

Also, I believe eating a tin of tuna a day is too much tuna... Would I have caused any issues for bubs already? I intend to reduce my tuna intake from now on!

    Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Hi don't worry i know its hard but try to relax its very early days and i would think everything is just fine. Salad from home is perfectly fine but yes i agree that you should cut down on your tuna intake, it was suggested to me to limit it to twice a week ( the little tins). Enjoy this time its very special :-)

Boiled eggs, bean mix, tins of chicken breast are also good sources of protein that you could add to your salads.

Thanks for the info... Reading the info, a serve of fish is 150gm, so I wouldn't be far over this amount per week.

I've replanned my lunches so I'm eating less tuna. I think I'm just worrying (hopefully unnecessarily) about affecting the baby. Any reassurance appreciated

I understand how much you stress in those first 3 months.

It look like you are well aware of that is a risk and what to have and not to have.

You are doing a great job and try not to stress.
