I have never used one with either of my first two, and don't plan on getting one for our third baby.

I have a friend though who uses one as a playpen - seems like it comes in handy for this purpose and gets a lot of use.

I used my portacot at home until DS was 13 months for showers etc then we moved and I didn't use it again. I've since moved back to my mums and only have a portacot because the crib is still at XDPs house. So we have started co-sleeping instead, which we both love

I have one that lives at each of the grandparents' houses for when DD stays over/ spends the day there.

I also have a 3rd 'pop up tent' style one that I take travelling if we're going somewhere where hotels don't have cots.

We only use ours when we are on holidays. Never at home.

    Love my change table though.

Depends on your lifestyle really... We use ours all the time. We don't go away often but it is really handy when we do. Ours mostly gets used at home - DD is in the cot in our room but the portacot is set up in the nursery for when she is a bit unsettled and we need sleep. She usually ends up in there every night from about 2am. We got ours half price from target and it is definitely some of the best money spent.

We had them at the grandparents houses.

    Used them almost every weekend.
