Default Losing weight due to sickness

    Hi girls

My friend is 10 weeks, almost 11 weeks. She has had sickness since 5 weeks. She is now at 46.1kg which is very small. She is 27 years old. How does she stop losing weight if she's being so sick?

She will hopefully start to feel better around 12-16 weeks and might catch up once she can keep food down. With DD I was very very sick from 8 to 14 weeks and lost 1.5 kilos. After 14 weeks I could eat properly again and by 41 weeks I was 20 kilos heavier than pre pregnancy (eek!). It was more than I would have liked to gain, but DD is 4 months and I'm not too far off pre pregnancy weight.

She will start to feel better very soon which is good news.

Just try to keep hydrated. I found dried nutragrain, crackers, ginger buscuits all helpful.

I also found if i had had one of the above and some water before i got out of bed i would feel better for the whole day.

I had severe morning sickness with both my kids and ended up in hospital both times.

Also try those sea sickness bands.

    Hope these ideas help.

I lost 10 kilos in my first 3 months if pregnancy but I started at 70kilis so it was ok.
I didn't stop throwing up at the 3 month mark like everyone said I would, I stopped throwing up when I stopped taking the pregnancy vitamins.

46.1 KG that is too low. I will say that you should change her diet plans completely and include lots of fruits and fiber in diet. Proper and balanced are one of the ways to cure sickness and weight loss. Also try to include manuka honey in her breakfast. It will help the inner healing process faster.
