Default *spin off* Do you expect alcohol at a get together with adults?

Whether it be a baby shower, dinner party, or any time of get together with adults, or at least where a group of adults and kids meet up?

No I don't expect it but it's usually there. We usually have a couple of beers in the fridge and some wine to offer people.

Generally yes... a brunch/lunch thing that's pretty casual, maybe not? Otherwise yeah.

It depends entirely on the adults we're gathering with.

I expect it to be there but we don't consume it as a celebratory thing.

So how do you feel about attending places where it's not supplied?

TBH the only time I think alcohol will be there is if it's at a pub or if BYO is on the invitation.

I would generally bring or drink alcohol if eating or socialising with friends or any special occasion. Just beer or wine, generally, and not in excess.

Even if I eat at a cafe or restaurant for lunch, I will often have a drink.

But I don't drink regularly at home, as I treat it as a social or eating out thing now.
